Vikram in talks with Lingusamy for a new project
It was announced several months ago that Vikram will be playing the title role in the historical Mahavir Karna and the film will be made on a mammoth budget of Rs. 300 crore. However, there is no news until now regarding the shoot and speculations are rife that the makers have decided to drop the film due to financial issues.

Now, we hear from reliable sources that Vikram has initiated talks with director Lingusamy for a new project, as he doesn’t want to waste the dates which he had given for the makers of Mahavir Karna. A source close to the director says, “It’s true that Lingusamy recently met Vikram at his office and discussed on the possibilities of working together again. However nothing has been finalised yet.” We also hear that the film will be bankrolled by Pen Studios, who has earlier helped Lingusamy for the release of Sivakarthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan. It is also worth noting that Vikram had earlier worked with Lingusamy for Bheema, which had Trisha playing the female lead.
