Boiler components flagged off from BHEL Tiruchirappalli for power project
The first consignment of structurals, valves and other boiler components from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli for major power projects coming up across India for the current financial year 2017-18 were flagged off by R Rajamanohar, Executive Director, BHEL Tiruchirappalli, Power Plant Piping Unit Thirumayam and Piping Centre Chennai.

The components for  Kothagudem (1 x 800 MW) Thermal Power Project and Manuguru (4x270 MW) TPS Telangana, Darlipali (2 x 800 MW) and NSPCL Rourkela, Odisha, Farakka Stage-III (1 x 500) MW, West Bengal, DBPL Baradarha (2 x 600MW), Chhattisgarh, Kolaghat (210 MW), West Bengal and Kahalgaon site, Bihar were dispatched. The consignment weighing 200 MT were dispatched through eight vehicles.
Rajamanohar commended the efforts of Logistics department for speedy clearance and dispatch of manufactured goods to the sites, ensuring timely delivery to the customers and considerably reducing the finished goods inventory.
Underlining the importance of efficiency of logistics in contributing to the turnover of any manufacturing organisation, Rajamanohar called for sustained efforts and improved performance to minimize stagnation of finished goods inventory.
P Manoharan, Additional General Manager, Logistics, BHEL Tiruchirappalli handed over the dispatch documents to K Somasekaran, Additional General Manager, Commercial (Fossil Boilers), BHEL Tiruchirappalli. Earlier, M Senthil, Senior Deputy General Manager, Logistics, welcomed the gathering. B Santhakumar, Deputy General Manager, Logistics, proposed the vote of thanks.
