GOING VIRAL: Magical self-parking chairs to keep office tidy

Nissan’s ‘Intelligent Parking Chairs’ use technology originally developed for the company’s cars, and they’re shown in the video tidying themselves in Mary Poppins style. The video is already attracting a lot of attention online. The chairs can be activated with a clap. 

Watching the mobile chairs skitter under tables is charming, like some sort of Pixar films about polite office furniture. Nissan says the chairs work by using four motion-tracking cameras in conjunction with Wi-Fi. While it makes for a quirky promo, there’s no talk of actually making such furniture available in the market.
