RPF personnel rescue 35-yr-old man who fell from moving train

Police said S Siva Kumar, a native of Mettur in Salem district had attempted to alight from a moving train Kannur-Yesvantpur Express at the Coimbatore railway junction.

COIMBATORE: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police personnel rescued a 35-year-old passenger who fell into the space between the platform and moving train in Coimbatore railway junction. Police said S Siva Kumar, a native of Mettur in Salem district had attempted to alight from a moving train Kannur-Yesvantpur Express at the Coimbatore railway junction. However, he lost balance and fell into the gap between the platform and the train. Acting swiftly, a team of four cops noticed him falling into the gap and came to his rescue. They pulled him out to safety. The passenger, who sustained injuries, was taken to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for treatment. The passengers appreciated the cops for their swift response to save him.
