Tamil Nadu: No district has cases in double digits

Tamil Nadu reported 21 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the toll so far to 34,53,054.

CHENNAI: Fresh cases in Chennai came down to nine, while Chengalpattu reported five cases, and Coimbatore, Sivagangai, and Thanjavur had two cases each.

The test positivity rate (TPR) in Tamil Nadu stood at 0.1 per cent in Tamil Nadu after testing 20,982 samples. Chennai and Coimbatore reported 0.4 per cent each, Chengalpattu 0.3 per cent, while Cuddalore and Sivagangai had 0.2 per cent each.

So far, a total of 34,14,880 people recovered from the pandemic virus in the State after 29 more people were discharged from several hospitals across the State on Saturday. As many as 20,297 more samples were tested for the virus in the State in the past 24 hours.
