CHENNAI: Days after accusing his son and party president Anbumani of planting a spying device, PMK founder S Ramadoss filed a fresh complaint alleging illegal surveillance and hacking of his mobile phone and CCTV system at his Thailapuram residence.

The complaint, submitted on Monday to Kottakuppam DSP Umadevi by Ramadoss’s private secretary P Swaminathan, states that activities inside the residence were being transmitted in real time to outsiders through port forwarding methods. The complaint claimed that a private firm based in Chennai had installed the Fibernet Wi-Fi and CCTV system nearly two years ago.

The network setup was allegedly arranged through Sasikumar, the finance manager of PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss. The complaint claims that a forensic investigation confirmed that data, including phone content and CCTV footage, had been intercepted and diverted to third parties without authorisation.

“The illegal monitoring of Ramadoss’s phone and residence is a violation of privacy and criminal in nature,” his private secretary, Swaminathan, said, urging police to take immediate legal action against perpetrators. He added that relevant IP addresses would be submitted to aid the investigation.

This development comes amid a deepening power struggle between party founder Ramadoss and his son, party president Anbumani Ramadoss, with both leaders holding rival meetings and exchanging public accusations.

The fresh set of allegations follows an earlier complaint filed by Ramadoss at Kilianur police station on July 15, after a surveillance device was reportedly discovered at his residence.

Ramadoss has directly accused Anbumani of planting the device, declaring, “It was Anbumani who placed the spying device. He is the only son in the world who spies on his father.”
