J Deepa's case against state acquiring Veda Nilayam adjourned

On July 26 the Tamil Nadu Government deposited 67.9 crores in the Chennai city civil court for which an ordinance was promulgated on May 22.

Late Former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's niece J Deepa and nephew Deepak had moved the court against Tamil Nadu government acquiring and converting of Veda Nilayam to a Jayalalithaa's memorial.

Despite the case was in the court, on July 26 the Tamil Nadu Government deposited 67.9 crores in the Chennai city civil court for which an ordinance was promulgated on May 22.

J Deepa challenged the ordinance mooted by the government as the case was on progress, the Madras High Court has adjouned the hearing to August 7.
