Fire fighter dies of dengue

A fire personnel died of dengue in Tiruchy on Monday.

It is said that Ajees Khan (35), a resident of Tiruvarumbur, was working as a personnel in Fire and Rescue team in Tiruchy.


Ajees Khan had a fever for the past few days but only two days back, he was admitted to a Government Hospital in the district. As Ajees Khan was having fever for more than three days, a blood test was taken for dengue. Ajees Khan was reportedly tested positive for Dengue and was being provided treatment.


However, on Monday, his health conditions deteriorated despite the treatment and he succumbed without responding.


The Medical Superintendent Dr Yeganathan said that Ajees Khan had high temperature fever for few days and several of his body parts got damaged in the viral attack. Ajees Khan was survived by a wife and two kids.
