CHENNAI: The faction led by PMK founder S Ramadoss on Monday announced the expulsion of three party legislators, accusing them of continuing anti-party activities despite repeated notices.
In a statement, the party general secretary Murali Shankar said that explanations were sought through the PMK disciplinary action committee from certain MLAs for their alleged anti-party conduct, with letters sent on July 20, 2025. However, no response was received so far, either in person, over the phone or through written communication, by the party founder and president.
He alleged that the MLAs continued to engage in activities detrimental to the party even after the notices.
In view of this, the Mayilam MLA S. Sivakumar, Mettur MLA S. Sadasivam and Dharmapuri MLA S.P. Venkateswaran, who had earlier been placed under temporary suspension, have now been expelled completely from the party.
The expulsion, effective from January 12, 2026, applies to their primary membership as well as all party posts held by them, the statement said.
The party leadership has also instructed PMK members not to maintain any form of party-related contact with the three expelled legislators.
Anbumani led faction had expelled Pennagaram MLA GK Mani and Salem (West) MLA R Arul.
