Local League: Indian Bank to meet IOB in final

Indian Bank will meet Indian Overseas Bank in the final of the state-level hockey tournament oragnised by Indian Bank at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium.

In the semi-finals on Wednesday, IOB overcame Central Excise 4-3 via tie-breaker after regulation time ended 2-2. Nafeel and Rafeeq scored for IOB in regulation time while both the Excise goals from the stick of Veeranna. In tie-breaker, Rafeeq and Abharan were on target for IOB and Allen Rajesh scored for Excise.

In the other semi-final, Gnanavel and Tamilarasan scored for Indian Bank who defeated ICF, Chennai 2-0. The final will be played on Thursday.
