The report was placed before a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosle and Justice MK Gupta in a sealed envelope by the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.

The court had on August 31 asked the Authority's secretary to submit a detailed report, along with photographs of various wards, after visiting the hospital.

The order was passed on a PIL filed by Suneeta Sharma and others who had sought a judicial enquiry into the deaths of more than 30 children at the hospital, within a span of 48 hours, in the second week of August.

The matter has now been fixed for further hearing on October 18.
