Velammal Vidayalaya students win gold

School students from the city won the gold medal for chess in the under 10 category

Students of Velammal Vidayalaya, Ayanambakkam recently won the gold medal in National School CBSE under – 10 (mixed) chess tournament held at Kolkata. The team leader CM Gukesh D, along with members Pranav.V, Shravan Swaminathan and Perinba Athiban S brought the trophy home. 

CM Gukesh D won the board prize for winning the individual championship under (10) mixed category. Master. Pranav V won the board prize for playing the third board.
