In a statment, she said party cadres R Periyasamy of Kadambur village and S Pachiannan of  Magudancahavadi panchayat died of indisposition while  returning home after attending the public meeting.

Expressing shock and grief over their deaths, she said since the model code of conduct for the elections was in force, financial assistance to their families, on behalf of the party, would be given after the elections.

This was the second such incident after two people allegedly died of dehydration and heat  after her public meeting at Vridhachalam last week.
