Car rams horse to death on Kamarajar Salai

Police is yet to ascertain who the animal belongs to, the car driver has been detained for an inquiry.

A horse was fatally knocked down after it crossed paths with a speeding car on Kamarajar Salai on Saturday night.

The accident happened around 11 pm in front of the Presidency College when the Monish Kumar of Bengaluru was driving his car towards Anna Square from the Lighthouse. As the horse suddenly ran across the road, Monish Kumar unable to control his vehicle knocked the animal down.

While the horse died on the spot, the body was moved to the Government veterinary hospital in Vepery. Anna Square traffic investigation police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
