Chennai
Handcrafted in Chennai, the company is amongst the world’s oldest motorcycle manufacturers still in business. Royal Enfield now conducts factory tours for all enthusiasts, seeking to soak in the ambience of the factory that still manufactures the Bullet 350, the longest running motorcycle model in continuous production, along with other classic models.
The factory tour will take you through the engine assembly, the paint shop where one will get to see the signature pin striping of the tank, and the vehicle assembly. Factory visits will be open on second and fourth Saturdays only.
The visit starts at 10.30 am and costs Rs. 600 per person, which is payable at the factory. All visits will be based on prior appointment. Clothing must cover the body fully as there are safety risks associated. Closed shoes are expected to be worn as well. Also, the tour will be conducted if a minimum of six people sign up, so it would be a good idea to bring your squad along.
