She talks to us on the sidelines of Milo Homeground, an initiative to promote active lifestyle among kids. “These are interesting sessions with detailed instructions by the award winning athletes, which can be performed by kids. As the mother of a fitness enthusiast, I was very excited to be a part of this initiative as it resonated with my belief of nourishing kids for an active and healthy lifestyle for a better future,” she told us.

According to Archana, the pandemic has brought about a huge change in people’s lives and lifestyles. “As we were struggling to overcome boredom amidst the lockdown, my worry has been to keep my daughter active during this lockdown. Kids have been completely locked inside their houses and are left with fewer options to keep them running around and not be glued to television or mobile phones,” she said. However, the anchor, who is usually busy with her shows and events, has taken time off to spend time with her family. “That’s a huge plus. This quarantine has given me the opportunity to spend quality time with my daughter and my family. A lot of us have given ourselves a chance to focus on ourselves and take some time out for things we love to do. However, the pandemic has also put immense pressure to adapt quickly to the new normal and has proven to us that it is impossible to survive without technology and has certainly increased the screen time,” she added.

With OTT platforms coming to the fore this season, Archana said that she would be exploring the digital medium soon. “I have never shied away from new opportunities and there will be a development on this front soon,” she remarked.
