Modi inaugurates Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 at Namo Ghat in Varanasi

The Tamil delegation, comprising around 1,400 people, after their stay in Kashi, will also visit Prayagraj and Ayodhya.

VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually from Varanasi on Sunday flagged off the inaugural special service Kanyakumari–Banaras ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express’ from Kanyakumari (Train. No. 06367).

PM inaugurated the second phase of the ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam’ event scheduled to be held from Sunday at Varanasi.

Ceremonial functions are being held for the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express’ inaugural special.

Participation of elected representatives, Govt. officials, railway passengers, students, and the general public in the event.

The en route stoppages in Tamil Nadu are Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Cuddalore Port, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Arakkonam and Perambur.

1094 passengers had booked their journeys by the inaugural special Train No.06367 Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express to Kashi.

Historic connection, pilgrim convenience, cultural bonding, and holistic pilgrimage route are the benefits of Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express.

The regular service of No. 16367/16368 Kanyakumari – Banaras – KanyakumariKashi Weekly Express will commence regular service Ex. Kanniyakumari from December 28, 2023 (Thursday), and Ex. Banaras with effect from December 24.
