Express trains to arrive, short terminate at Tambaram, Beach stations

Following trains will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10-29

CHENNAI: Several trains like Uzhavan Express, Ananthapuri Express and others would continue to originate or terminate temporarily from Tambaram or Chennai Beach due to the ongoing re-development works at the Egmore station, said a Southern Railway statement.

Following trains will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10-29:

Train 16866 Thanjavur–Egmore Uzhavan Express leaving Thanjavur at 9.50 pm will be short terminated at Tambaram at 3.45 am.

Train 20636 Kollam–Egmore Ananthapuri Superfast Express leaving Kollam at 2.55 pm will be short terminated at Tambaram at 3.20 pm.

Train 22662 Rameswaram–Egmore Sethu Superfast Express leaving Rameswaram 8.50 pm will be short terminated at Tambaram at 6.35 am.

Train 16752 Rameswaram–Egmore Express leaving Rameswaram at 5.50 pm will be short terminated at Tambaram at 6.45 am.

Following trains will start from Tambaram station instead of Egmore from November 11-30:

Train 16865 Egmore–Thanjavur Uzhavan Express will now originate from Tambaram at 11 pm instead of Egmore at 10.25 pm.

Train 20635 Egmore–Kollam Ananthapuri Superfast Express will now originate from Tambaram at 8.20 pm instead of Egmore at 7.50 pm.

Train No 22661 Egmore–Rameswaram Sethu Superfast Express will now originate from Tambaram at 6.20 pm instead of Egmore at 5.45 pm. Train 16751 Egmore–Rameswaram Express will now originate from Tambaram at 7.42 pm instead of Egmore at 7.15 am.

Train 22158 Egmore–Mumbai CSMT Superfast Express will now originate from Beach station at 6.45 am from November 11-30 instead of Egmore at 6.35 am.

Train 16127/16128 Egmore–Guruvayur Express will continue to originate and terminate at Tambaram until further advice.

Train 09419 Ahmedabad–Tiruchchirappalli weekly express special scheduled to leave Ahmedabad at 9.30 am on Thursdays on November 13, 20 and 27 (Thursdays) will be diverted to run via Renigunta, Melpakkam, Katpadi, Vellore Cantonment, Villupuram, skipping stoppages at Arakkonam, Perambur, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram and Chengalpattu. Additional stoppages will be provided at Tiruttani at 1 pm.

Train 09420 Tiruchchirappalli–Ahmedabad weekly express special scheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli at 5.45 am on Sundays from November 16, 23 and 30 (Sundays) will be diverted run via Vellore Cantonment, Katpadi, Melpakkam, Tiruttani, Renigunta, skipping stoppages at Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Egmore, Perambur and Arakkonam. Additional stoppages will be provided at Tiruttani at 3.15 pm, added the release.
