Tie-up to offer quality edu to marginalised children

Nearly 800 students studying in Government Higher Secondary School, Nandambakkam, in the city would be provided a holistic development, conducted jointly by Newgen Software Technologies Limited, a global provider of low code automation platform managing content, processes and communication and Kinship for Humanitarian Social and Holistic Intervention in India (KHUSHII)

This collaboration is expected to empower children from poor economic background and marginalised communities with quality education.


Talking about the collaboration, Priyadarshini Nigam, Head-CSR of Newgen Software, said that he wants to change the lives of 800 beneficiaries from the school by providing remedial education.


Stating that the company has a very keen interest in shaping the future of the less privileged, Aanchal Singh, executive director of KHUSHII, said, “This partnership is very strategic, as it will enable the students have quality education at school and a promising future goals and career aspirations.”


A stakeholder workshop was organised in the school to discuss the objective and vision of the programme. Stakeholders from school (Headmaster and teachers), representatives from Newgen and its partner NGO participated in the workshop.


Under the programme, a few teachers from Spoken English, English language and Social Science will be provided as resources to strengthen the basics of the students. Counselling support and extracurricular activities will be organised. Additionally, monthly maintenance of sanitation facilities will be undertaken. The partnership will address the challenges of low pupil-teacher ratio, low learning levels and drop-out in the intervention school.
