New quake alert device in Haryana

An Indian company which has joined hands with a Germany firm has shown interest to fix early earthquake warning and security system in various places across the country.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Bijender Goel, managing director, Terra Techcom private limited said that Secty Electronics GmbH, Germany had developed the early earthquake warning and security system in 2006 and claimed that the system had been installed in various countries. 

“We are going to install our equipment in Haryana government’s mini secretariat at Chandigarh on March 14. As per the Haryana government’s direction we tested the system in CSIRSERC lab in Chennai, which turned out to be positive,” he said. Goel said that they had just started the project in India and would soon approach various organisations to setup their system.
