Karthi pens thank you note for Rajini and Kamal. Here’s why

Earlier today, Kamal Haasan poured in his praise for Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan-1' and joined the team to watch the movie at a theatre in Chennai.

CHENNAI: Actor Karthi, who played Valavarayan Vanthiyathevan in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan-1', wrote a thank you note for Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

In a letter to Rajinikanth, he wrote, “Rajini sir, A call from you is extremely special. Your courtesy to reach out to others to appreciate their work and the joy that you give us is always endearing. Thank you sir. Lots of love and respects"

In another letter to Kamal, he stated, "Kamal sir you have always inspired us to seek bigger goals and set higher standards in cinema but more importantly you have taught us to love & respect one another and how to express that in these moments. Lots of love and respects."

Earlier today, Kamal Haasan poured in his praise for Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan-1' and joined the team to watch the movie at a theatre in Chennai on Wednesday.

Karthi also expressed his gratitude and thanked PS-1 crew and added a note that experience as Vanthiyathevan was magnificient.

Karthi at first paid respects to writer Kalki, who authored the novel, and let out a special thanks to every technician from director Mani Ratnam to the 'foot soldiers' in the technical crew. Also, he extended his gratitude to art director Thota Tharani, writer Jeyamohan, music director AR Rahman for solidifying the movie through their respective departments.

Karthi ended his note thanking fans saying, "Dear fans, friends and cinema lovers who have showered us with such love and pride. It's so overwhelming to receive all your love."
