NEW DELHI: The government has imposed airfare caps following five days of IndiGo flight cancellations, which caused ticket prices to surge on several routes. Citing crew shortages as the primary cause of disruptions, the civil aviation ministry directed all airlines to adhere to the new fare limits to ensure fair and reasonable pricing, which will remain in effect until the situation stabilises.
