CHENNAI: Aiming to serve the long-standing need of the large LGBTQIA+ community in India, Matrimony.com has rolled out RainbowLuv, a matchmaking and relationship app to help them find serious and meaningful relationships.

Over 45+ gender identities, 122+ orientation tags, and 48+ pronouns have been included in the app.

As an inclusive platform for queer people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, no matter the sexual orientation or gender identity, people including gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, non-binary, asexual, aromantic, polyamorous or any other identity, can find profiles of other like-minded people to date and bond with.

Arjun Bhatia, chief marketing officer, Matrimony.com says, “When it comes to serious matchmaking, the LGBTQIA+ community has been largely underserved and we wanted to provide a safe and trusted platform for them. The genesis for starting this service itself was from some of the community members who reached out to us in the past year or so. After multiple discussions and workshops with the community, the service was conceived and developed. The app is made by the community for the community. We hope this platform will help every LGBTQIA+ member looking for a partner.”

RainbowLuv comes after the launch of Jodii App, a matrimony service in nine regional languages, earlier in the year, that caters to non-graduates (Diploma, 12th, 10th std. or below), working in blue-collared jobs, addressing the matchmaking needs of millions of Indians in their mother tongue.

RainbowLuv offers free registration with following benefits:

  • Over 45+ gender identities, 122+ orientation tags, and 48+ pronouns included

  • 100% Govt ID verified profiles for complete trust and safety

  • See only genuine member photos which are selfie-verified

  • Chat with your preferred matches directly and take the conversation forward
