Dam collapse in Brazil: Death toll rises to 99

The death toll from the collapse of a tailings dam in Brazil's state of Minas Gerais, rose to 99 while 259 have been reported missing, local authorities on Thursday said.

Out of the 99 bodies retrieved, 57 have already been identified.

The dam collapsed in Brumadinho municipality in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais last week, triggering heavy mud floods that caused multiple fatalities and injuries.
