Saudi Arabia’s prosecutor has reportedly sought the death penalty for the individuals who killed Jamal Khashoggi in the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul last month, reports Bloomberg.

Eleven people have been indicted and 21 are being held, the prosecutor said.

Journalist Jamal Khashoggi went missing after he entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2. After weeks of denial, Saudi authorities admitted that he was killed in a "rogue operation".

    Details awaited.
