Imran Khan expands cabinet, inducts 6

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday expanded his cabinet with induction of three federal and as many state ministers.
President Arif Alvi administered the oath to ministers. Mr Omer Ayub, Ali Muhammad Khan Mehar and Syed Ali Haider Zaidi were sworn in as federal ministers while Muhammad Shabir Ali, Murad Saeed and Muhammad Hammad Azhar as state ministers in a ceremony held at the President's House, a report in Pakistan daily The Express Tribune said.
The ceremony was attended, among others, by the Prime Minister, members of the Federal Cabinet and senior government officials.
Mr Omar Ayub Khan was a minister of state for finance in Shaukat Aziz's cabinet. He joined PTI in February 2018.
Mr Ali Zaidi, who joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1999, has also held several senior party positions, including that of the president of the PTI's Karachi region.
Mr Murad Saeed, an old face, is diehard PTI activist.
