Chinese President Xi Jinping condemns Barcelona terror attack
Chinese President Xi Jinping has condoled deadly terrorist attack in central Barcelona, Spain, that left at least 13 people dead and more than 100 others injured.

In a message to Spanish King Felipe VI yesterday, Mr Xi expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
"China is firmly opposed to all forms of terrorism and stands ready to work with the international community, including Spain, to strengthen anti-terror cooperation so as to jointly safeguard regional and world peace and stability," the Chinese President said.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the August 17 attack.
