How to have a successful cheat day
Cheat days keep you going when the going gets tough. If you are on a healthy eating plan, then knowing you don’t have to completely cut out things you love from your diet makes a huge difference. However, there are a few key factors to a successful cheat day. Read on!

Don’t forget your fruits and veggies!
Just because it’s cheat day doesn’t mean every meal should consist of processed foods. Try to incorporate some fresh foods throughout the day. For example, Add a banana or some blueberries with your pancakes and maple syrup or make the pancakes using bananas.
Splurge earlier in the day
Some studies suggest that eating later in the evening prior to bed can result in a small, but significant, weight gain compared to consuming the same food earlier in the day. That means your cheat meal might not be as bad for your waistline if you eat them at noon rather than at midnight.
Stick with water
Drinking water has countless health benefits. A few of which include clear complexion, weight loss, increase in energy levels, and digestive aid. Always make water your beverage of choice, cheat day or not!
Work when you can
It’s cheat day and you need not hit the gym. Enjoy a day of rest, but try to incorporate mild exercise when possible. Walk instead of driving, take the stairs, hop on your bike for a joy ride, or go dancing!
