    What should I do to find relief  from sciatica that I developed  post-pregnancy? Angela Mathew, Urapakkam 

    During pregnancy, lordosis increases, leading to compression of the invertebral disc, making it protrude backwards. Another factor responsible for the condition is a woman’s posture during her pregnancy. She should be careful on how she walks and sleeps. Due to the two factors, the buttocks muscle tends to get compressed. One must do a lot of postnatal exercises to correct one’s posture and release the pain. One can either go for modality or for manual technique treatment. These exercises can then be done at home.

    I develop an allergic reaction to onions. What should I do? Praveen S, Ekkaduthangal 

    The offending cause should be removed. After an allergic test, treatment will be administered. However, if allergic to onions, it  is best to avoid it. Also, treatment will  depend on what type of rash/allergy develops. Sometimes, people can develop blisters, while some others  can develop boils. For itching,  we would prescribe antihistamine or lotions like calamine for external application.
