    So, here are some time saving fitness tips that can be incorporated into your busy routines and will go a long way in maintaining your health and fitness levels. 

    Do it in the morning 

    The longer you wait in the day to workout, the more excuses you will find to put it off. Also, research suggests that women who work out in the morning stick with their schedules more successfully than those who don’t. But getting up isn’t always easy. Here’s a trick to help you avoid the temptation to stay under the covers. When you’re lying in bed staring at the ceiling, visualise yourself at the end of your workout, revelling in your post-exercise, glad-that’sover feeling. 

    Eat a good breakfast 

    Never skip breakfast. Include lots of fresh fruits in your breakfast, as fresh fruits that contain glucose will help to keep sweet cravings at bay. With fresh fruits you can also include some dry fruits for energy. 

    Stretch regularly 

    If your work involves sitting at the desk for hours together or staying put in the same position for a prolonged period, stretch regularly. This has several benefits. It prevents muscles from becoming sore and stiff at the end of the day. It improves circulation and also helps remove toxins from your body. Simply  bending and touching your toes, a couple of neck and shoulder rotations and knee rotations will go a long way in making you feel more agile and energetic till the end of the day. Similarly, take a break from typing. Rotate your wrists and rub them.

    Squat to your chair level 

    Tighten your abs as you bend your knees. Keep your arms stretched as you slowly squat down until your buttocks are hovering barely above the chair. Make sure not to sit down on the chair. Remain in that position for 10 seconds before you straighten up. This exercise tones your abs, arms and legs. 

    Walk after a meal 

    If you have the option of walking across to a company canteen or café to eat your lunch, make the best of it. Avoid eating at your desk. One, you will be tempted to work while eating, which is not a good idea. Two, you won’t get a chance to walk post your lunch, thereby losing out the little chance that you have of digesting your food. Also, try taking the stairs wherever you go.
