A photo of a youth desecrating a temple idol was shared with a communal angle last week. Alt News found the incident dates back to April 2020. A Twitter user wrote, “Lodhi Gautam, son of Azad Gautam from Kardhna village in Varanasi took a photo of himself placing his feet on the temple of Dih Baba in Adampur.” The handle of ADG Zone Varanasi replied that the accused is in Varanasi police’s custody.
