The increasing prices of vegetables and fruits put people under a lot of distress and to showcase how costly they are, a Pakistani bride took a comical stand on it by wearing tomatoes as jewellery instead of gold jewellery to express how expensive the fruit is in her country. Users were baffled after the images became viral and many couldn’t control their laughter. The bride, adorned herself with earrings, maang-tika, necklace and bracelets, all from tomatoes, explained how she received pine nuts as her wedding gift. Posting the pictures online, she said,” “The price of gold is very high similar to tomatoes and pine nuts that are expensive as well. So, I used tomatoes for my wedding.” The video garnered nearly 32,000 views and 3,000 likes. A user commented,” How innovative”, while another said,” Soon everyone would have to sport this look.”
