Indian Mobile Congress from September 27 in Delhi

The event will be organised by telecom industry body Cellular Operators’ Association of India (COAI) with support from the Department of Telecommunications and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It will be organised at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi at a budget of Rs 15 crore. 

Riding on an improved performance of its TV and home appliance businesses, LG Electronics Inc said its first-quarter operating profit is estimated at $812.3 million, a market forecast-beating figure. Shares of LG Electronics closed at over $62 on the main bourse on Friday, up 0.42 per cent from the previous trading session. 

The latest figure marks an 82.4 per cent jump from $445.7 million posted in the January-March period of 2016. LG Electronics’ first-quarter operating profit was estimated at $537 million, up 20.6 per cent from a year earlier. The company is set to deliver the finalised earnings report later this month.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy C7 Pro phone in India at a price of Rs 27,990. The Galaxy C7 Pro is a toneddown version of Galaxy C9 Pro, which was launched earlier in January. The Galaxy C7 Pro will be available on Amazon India from April 11, the company announced on Friday. 

The Galaxy C7 Pro boasts of a full-metal body and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes with a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor clubbed with 4 gigs of RAM under the hood. It comes with 64GB of internal memory which is also expandable. The dual-SIM Galaxy C7 Pro runs Android Marshmallow-based TouchWiz and supports 4G LTE.
