Google introduces shortcuts to its Search app
Tech giant Google has introduced short-cuts on the Google Search app for Android, iOS and Google.com on the mobile web that gives users the ability to explore deeper within topics they care about.

With short-cuts right on the home screen, users now have access to in-depth experiences across sports, eat and drink, entertainment and weather sections. Android users will find other useful shortcuts too like translate, nearby attractions, flights, hotels, internet speed test, currency converter, and more.
“If you’re looking for fun, there are short-cuts like tic-tac-toe, roll a die, animal sounds, Solitaire and always a Google favourite: I’m feeling curious,” said Tamar Yehoshua, Vice President, Product Management, Google. With a tap on the entertainment short-cut, users can see what’s playing this weekend at local theatre or what to watch on TV. They can also get the latest news. For sports, just tap into game times, scores and team news.
“To find the most timely and recently used short-cuts, make sure your Google app is updated to the latest version and then look for your short-cuts right underneath the search box,” the post read.
