    Getting them done is a lot more challenging. I have been researching and studying the habits of high achievers to find out how they manage to successfully accomplish their goals. One of the common traits I found among the high achievers is that most of them meditate and follow one or the other forms of meditation. 

    Meditation relaxes your mind and gives you the calm atmosphere to think of your life goals and helps you to prioritize your tasks.  There are many apps that helps you with guided meditation. Two of the most highly recommended apps are HeadSpace and Calm. Both these apps are suitable for absolutely new beginners and helps to get you off the ground. You can find them in both Android Play Store as well as in Apple iOS app store. 

    Another important trait of successful people is their ability to focus on a task in an undistracted manner for long periods of time. The concept of ‘Deep Work’ is something that I have been fascinated with and actively practice as part of my daily ritual. 

    My favorite app that lets me focus on my work or when I meditate is ‘Relax Forest’. It’s a brilliant app that contains sounds from forest with birds chirping, water flowing in the Brooks, winds caressing the trees etc. There are variations of sounds and they are very soothing to the mind. It really helps me to immerse myself with my tasks and to cut my mind off other external distractions. Ever since I discovered this app, my work productivity has gone up. 

    If you are the city person who love to work out off coffee shops, there is a brilliant app called ‘Coffitivity’ which mimics the sounds and the ambiance of a cafe. The sounds were recorded from real coffee shop locations and they mentally transport you to one. This is particularly useful when you are working alone in your home but want to have a more social ambiance. 

    A powerful way to achieve your new year goals is to use the power of both meditation and do focused work to accomplish your tasks. Wishing you the very best to crush your resolutions and succeed in the new year. Good luck.
