Going Viral: Internet is loving this dad’s day-care wardrobe fail

A few days ago, Brooke Basso of Indiana, US, had a morning job interview, leaving her husband Jeremy on baby duty. Jeremy dressed their adorable daughter Olivia in a pair of cute blue and pink overalls. But there was one problem – he forgot to put a shirt under the overalls. “My darling husband Jeremy got the baby dressed and took her to daycare this morning. This is how things went down when I picked her up!  #daddyfail,” she captioned the hilarious photo, which she posted to popular talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’s Facebook page. 

“I do normally dress the baby but that morning I had a job interview so he stayed to do it,” said Brooke. “When I picked her up, I thought perhaps she made a mess on the shirt and the daycare took it off. Our provider simply laughed and said, ‘nope, she came like this!’” In the comments on Brooke’s viral Facebook post, which has been shared thousands of times, lots of parents chimed in about their own family’s wardrobe malfunctions. 

One user wrote, “I showed this to my hubby and asked him what was wrong with this picture. His puzzled response, ‘the baby doesn’t have any hair’. His second guess, ‘the baby has no legs?’. This is why I’ll always dress our daughter. Bless his soul!” Another wrote, “So once after work my hubs dropped our one-year-old off to me wearing this weird beige robe. I had no clue where it came from and she had it on with nothing but leggings. It was open in the front, no buttons or ties. I asked, ‘what is this?’ He says, ‘it was on Seths (her older bro’s) bed. It was soft. I put it on her’. 

I said, ‘THIS CAME OFF OF HIS STUFFED YODA (stuffed toy)!!’ He took her to the grocery before dropping her to me.... wearing a Yoda robe..... Oh well, at least he got groceries and they both survived the day!” We can only imagine how cute that looked.
