The interesting part of it is that anyone can watch 360 photos on Facebook with VR headsets as well. The company launched it's 360-degree video during the month of September and this new photo version is quite similar to it. The users can click and drag the mouse or just move their phone to have a glimpse. The main advantage of it is that anyone can capture them with an Android or iOS smartphone.
Zuckerberg shared 360-degree photo of Manhattan taken from the top of One World Trade Center by Michael Franz and Jonathan D Woods for TIME. This photo is the first 360-degree photo to be uploaded on Facebook. The new technology is similar to 360-degree videos where the users can tilt and feel like they are actually there.
