Hence, it’s no wonder that a spoof musical made based on the online catcalls between Thala and Thalapathy fans has been trending on YouTube since its release on Christmas. Posted by Pun-dits, Chennai-based stand-up comedy group, it’s an exact replica of how silly these fan movements get, but it looks funnier as the fans rap to take potshots at the ‘archrival’s movies while defending their ‘hero’.
It all begins when the two fan groups get a slot at a ‘fight club’ to meet face-to-face and the lyrical brawl lasts for about four minutes, much to the amusement of the neutral audience. But a word of warning for Thala Thalapathy fans: Watch it at your own risk!
