Chennai reports 104 new Covid cases; TPR 3.5%

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 535 cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases so far to 35,82,051.

Chennai continues to record the highest infection case with 104 cases, followed by Chengalpattu 54, Coimbatore 43, Tiruvallur 28, Kanniyakumari 26, Kancheepuram and Krishnagiri 23.

The State recorded a positivity rate of 3.5 per cent. Coimbatore had 6.6 per cent, Chengalpattu 5.9, Ranipet 5.7, Kanniyakumari 5.6, Tirunelveli 5.5, and Chennai 3.1 per cent of TPR.

As many as 509 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals across the State on Wednesday taking total recoveries to 35,38,507. At least 15,628 samples were tested during the last 24 hours.
