CHENNAI: The second round of counselling for the students seeking Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2022) in the State will begin on September 25 with more than 30,000 students is expected to participate.

The first round of counselling was started from September 10 with over 14,000 students have participated and got the provisional allotment.

A senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), the nodal office in conducting engineering counselling, said that at present, the students, who participated in the first round were given time till September 22 to confirm their seat allocation.

"After confirmation, the final provisional list will be released on September 25,” he said adding that on the same day the second round of counselling will begin at 10 am.

The official said that the second round of councelling will be conducted for the students who had secured cut-off marks between 184.5 and 163 (from rank 14,524 to 45,577) is expected to participate. "The tentative allotment will be made for these students on September 28", he said adding that the final provisional allotment list will be released on October 13.

He said the penultimate and the third round of counselling will be held from October 13 where students secured cut-off marks between 162.9 and 130.2 were expected to participate.

For these candidates, the final provisional allotment list will be released on October 29.

As per the TNEA-2022 schedule, the final and fourth round of counselling for the students, who secured cut-off marks between 130 and 77 in the general category will begin on October 29 and would end on November 11.
