Total number of Covid recoveries over 35.31 lakh in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 426 new cases on Monday, taking the total number of cases to over 35.74 lakh.

Chennai recorded 84 new cases followed by Coimbatore with 52 cases, Chengalpattu had 35 cases, Kanyakumari 31, Erode 26, and Tiruvallur 20.

And other districts reported less than 20 cases. TN’s test positivity rate stood at 2.5%. Ranipet had 7.6%, Erode 6.4%, Coimbatore 6.2%, Tiruppur 5.2%, Krishnagiri 4.6%, Kanniyakumari 4.4%, and Chennai had 2% TPR.

As many as 453 patients recovered from various hospitals across the State on Monday. Total number of recoveries reached over 35.31 lakh.

At least 16,811 samples were tested during the last 24 hours, as per the State health bulletin.
