CHENNAI: The rail maintenance works are being carried out on the tracks on Manamadurai Mela Konnakulam, Dindigul - Ambathurai, Rajapalayam - Sankarankoil and Sudiyur - Paramakudi railway lines under Madurai Railway Division of Southern Railways.

Due to track maintenance work, railway lines under Madurai Railway Division timings have been changed till September 15th.

Accordingly, the Rameswaram Madurai Express train (06652) will depart from Rameswaram at 1.30 PM instead of its regular time of 11 AM on all days except Thursdays from today (2nd September) until September 15th.

Trichy - Manamadurai Express train (06829/06830) will be cancelled between Sivaganga - Manamadurai on all days other than Sundays from tomorrow (3rd September) until September 15th.

Coimbatore-Nagercoil Express train (16322) will run late for about 14 hours on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2nd September until 15th.

Chennai - Guruvayur Express train (16127) from Dindigul to Madurai will run about 70 minutes late on Tuesdays and Saturdays and around 1 hour late on Fridays.

There will be no service of Chennai-Guruvayur Express Train (06672) operating from Maniyachi Railway Station to Thoothukudi on the above days. However, it will only run between Maniyachi-Thoothukudi on regular schedule and not as a connecting train.

Madurai- Sengottai passenger train (06663) will depart at 11.30 am,

Sengottai- Madurai passenger train (06664) will depart at 11.50 am only on Sundays from 2nd until 15th.

Palakkad-Thiruchendur Express train (16731 ​​and 16732) will operate only up to Dindigul on 14th and 15th, due to track maintenance work at Virudhunagar.

According to Daily Thanthi reports, these trains will depart from Dindigul railway station at regular timings.
