Habitual offender stabs wife suspecting her fidelity in Karur

TIRUCHY: A man stabbed his wife to death after suspecting her fidelity in Karur on Friday. Siva alias Selvaraj (52), a resident from NGO Nagar in Karur had frequent quarrels with his wife Sathya (40), a construction coolie over her fidelity. On Thursday night, one such quarrel turned to be violent and Selvaraj who grabbed a knife stabbed her at multiple spots in which Sathya fell down dead in a pool of blood. After seeing Sathya dead, Selvaraj escaped from the spot. On Friday, their son who has been working in a petrol bunk came to the house and saw Sathya lying dead. Thanthondrimalai police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body based on his information. The police registered a case against Selvaraj based on the complaint by his son. The police said there are several cases pending against Selvaraj in various police stations.
