60-yr-old passenger from Gudiyattam on temple visit dies in bus

VELLORE: A passenger from Gudiyattam who boarded a bus to Vellore to visit a temple there was found dead when the bus reached Vellore on Friday. Sources revealed that the victim, identified as Murugan (60) of Gudiyattam got into the bus at Gudiyattam with his family members to visit the temple of their family deity in Vellore. Murugan purchased tickets for all of them. When the bus reached Vellore old bus stand, his family members asked him to get down and when he failed to respond, they immediately sought the services of 108 ambulance. The crew rushed to the bus stand and on examining Murugan declared that he was already dead. Vellore north police came to the spot and conducted an inquiry and on being informed that Murugan died of natural causes while travelling, allowed the relatives and family members to take his body back to Gudiyattam for the last rites.
