CHENNAI: Justice AD Jagadish Chandira passed the order on disposing of the petition filed by Periyasamy. The petitioner sought a direction to quash the case submitting that it was a foisted one against him due to political vengeance. When addressing a public meeting in Nilakkottai in August 2014, the DMK leader made charges against the police.
On recording the submissions, the judge quashed the FIR.
