When the plea moved by the actress seeking leave to institute a civil suit against Bhavninder for leaking her private pics and spreading false news as per procedures came up for hearing, Justice N Sathish Kumar allowed it.

A few months ago, Bhavninder Singh, a singer, posted photographs of him and Amala Paul on Instagram. It showed both of them wearing traditional wedding attire as if the marriage had happened. However, those were engagement pictures. Based on the social media post, many in the media reported that they had gotten married.

Though she neither denied nor confirmed the reports, the actress moved the High Court seeking to ban such release of her photos and permit her to move a civil suit against her ex-boyfriend for projecting as if they were married while in reality only the engagement had happened.
