Since the deadline given to Governor in a missive to his secretary on deciding about 7.5 reservation on UG medical courses ended the matter again was heard in the Madurai bench of Madras High Court, on Friday.

Advocate general Vijay Narayan told to the Bench led by Justice Kirubakaran and Justice Pugalendhi that the Governor could either agree, decline or call for revamping of Justice Kalaiyarasan's commission recommendations, the court cannot interfere citing article 200. Court however replied that even swift decision making is given in the constitution.

Justice Kirubakaran lauded the ruling government and other parties for overwhelmingly supporting this bill on horizontal reservations by recalling the unity displayed during jallikattu.

He became emotional and even shed tears while talking about government schools and colleges and how students over there far flung from resources yearn for opportunities, this reservation would encourage them apply for NEET, he added.

Tamil Nadu government on its side made it clear it wouldn't issue prospectus for medical admissions without the assent of Governor.
