Loyalists meet Deputy CM O Panneerselvam for the second day

AIADMK camp is now keenly watched as tensions are cropping up on selection of Chief Ministerial candidate.

For the second day, Deputy CM O Panneerselvam has huddled with his loyalists.

KP Munusamy, Manoj Pandian and Naththam Vishwanathan were in the meeting with OPS in his residence.

The ruling party convened the Executive Committee on September 28, it is from there the mutterings began.

Announcement of CM candidate was stalled in the meet when one faction pressed for selecting AIADMK's candidate.

Yet what has prolonged this theory of a cabal is Deputy CM's absence in CM and District Collectors conference on Tuesday and absence of his name in the inauguration of solid waste management programmes' invitation, which is held today. 

Fisheries Minister Jayakumar clarified that in the invitations issued by the government will feature the Deputy CM's name in major programmes alone.

Rajya Sabha MP Vaithilingam on Tuesday rubbished rumours of internecine in the party and said they are united.
