More than 80 per cent mobile thefts take place during travel: Tiruchy CoP
Tiruchy City Commissioner of Police suggested the victims of mobile theft to start a WhatsApp group and create awareness among the public about phone thefts and said that more than 80 per cent of mobiles phone thefts take place during travel.

Handing over as many as 130 recovered mobile phones worth Rs 16.31 lakh, the Commissioner Loganathan asked the people to inform the police soon after they lose their mobiles. He urged the people who received their lost mobiles to start a WhatsApp group and share their experiences. “We have arrested eight persons in connection with the mobile theft so far”, the commissioner added.
