67 died of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours

Tamil Nadu has registered 5,488 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, according to the state's department of health. The overall tally has increased to 5,30,908 in the state. 

Chennai City has detected 989 fresh cases today, while other districts of the state recorded 4,499 new Covid infections. 

The state saw 67 Covid-19 fatalities today.

Tamil Nadu is seeing a slight drop in daily covid fatalities lately. While Chennai is recording less than 1000 cases in the recent days, the cases from other districts of the state contribute a huge junk altogether.
